Medical supplies
Finola Harrigton, registered nurse, looks after all medical related projects and collects and distributes donated medical supplies throughout the year.
Since 2017, for over 8 years, The Bridge team has been collecting medical supplies from multiple sources including hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centres, pharmacists, specialist medical providers, pharmaceutical companies alongside ongoing and incredible generous support from the general public.
Initially all of the donated goods were directed to Cameroon in Africa, to local hospitals, orphanages and schools close by the civil war frontline.
Since 2022, the support focus has been on Ukraine where there is a continuing and urgent need for medical supplies including lifesaving drugs & theatre equipment, bandages and wheelchairs, crutches and walkers.
The supplies also include veterinary related products, aids and foods that support injured and abandoned animals.
